About The Grant

The Partnership grant, formerly the Business Matchmaking grant, offers up to $4,000 in funding for a business project proposal that partners BIPOC-owned Bay Area businesses with B2B service providers.

Program Overview

How To Apply

  • Step 1.

    Reach out to a B2B service provider in our SEED Network B2B Catalog for a project partnership.

    If you have a service provider that you’d like to work with, please encourage them to join the SEED Network in order to collaborate as business partners for this grant.

  • Step 2.

    Book a 1-on-1 meeting with SEED Network’s program manager.

    This meeting will clarify expectations for this project, as well as how this intended partnership can start.

  • Step 3.

    Submit your grant application with a project proposal co-created with your B2B partner.

    Both businesses should agree on a proposal explaining how the $4000 will be spent and specifying a timeline for the deliverables over the next few months.

Requirements

    1. Business must be located in the Bay Area, residing within any of its 9 counties.

    2. Owners must identify as BIPOC / Minority

  • The partnership grant requires the applicant to utilize SEED Network’s B2B catalogue to find a service provider for the project.

    If you have a service provider that you’d like to work with, please encourage them to join the SEED Network in order to collaborate as business partners for this grant. The business must be in the Bay Area and identify as BIPOC / Minority to qualify.

  • The proposal should explain how the $4000 will be spent and specify a timeline for the deliverables over the next few months.

  • Before submitting your project proposal, please prepare brief information about your business demographics. This information will only be reported to the city and grant funders.
